Athlegan is an online community created by Tobias, a vegan personal trainer on a mission to help vegan athletes become as strong and fit as possible. He first reached out to me via Instagram, asking if I could refine a logo he’d had made on Fiverr and give his brand a much-needed refresh. The goal was to develop a cohesive identity he could carry through to future projects, from an updated website and regular social media posts to exercise programs and recipe eBooks.
With the original logo as a starting point, I experimented with size, shape and proportion within a circle shape in my sketchbook, then in Adobe Illustrator, but in the end I much preferred the logomark outwith those constraints.

I next created a few mood boards and stylescapes exploring different colour palettes, photography styles, and typography options. Tobias and I worked closely over email and Zoom to narrow these down, and I began building a PDF style guide we could keep adding to as the brand evolved.
To keep things budget-friendly for Athlegan’s online presence, I designed a set of Canva templates Tobias could easily use for social media whenever he needed.
I also produced a series of web page designs for the planned site refresh using Figma, a tool I’d never worked with before but really enjoyed learning, and it was great to pick up a new skill along the way.
Finally I created several badges incorporating the updated logo that could be used for various merch, from T-shirts to mugs.
Although lockdown temporarily put this project on hold, I eagerly await picking things up again when the time is right.
